Vetri-Disc from VetriScience Laboratories combines bovine tracheal cartilage with amino acids, mineral sulfates, vitamins, pepsin, and a natural source of silicon, all of which are necessary to support and maintain connective tissue. Bovine tracheal cartilage is a rich source of chondroitin sulfate, which constitutes the connective tissue matrix and is particularly high in the intervertebral disc tissue of vertebrates and invertebrates.
Other nutrients like taurine and horsetail are necessary for connective tissue synthesis, while minerals like calcium and magnesium support bone growth and maintenance. Zinc is necessary for tissue respiration and is also important in the body's healing processes. Amino acids such as serine link glycosaminoglycan structures to connective tissue proteins, and vitamins C and D support collagen production and calcium absorption, respectively.
